Here is a Summarizing Worksheet for youngsters to use while learning how to summarize! I have the hand on it because I use a gardeners glove that has each step on a finger with puffy paint. This way when we are done reading a story- I put on the glove and we answer: Who? Did What? When? Where? and Why? I like that it is an easy way to remember how to summarize!
I have the students write one or two words in each finger and use those words to write a complete sentence in the space provided beside it. Enjoy!! Click on the picture to download it!
